Friend request - Two versions
Currently, when a member asks to be friends with another member, the email sent looks like this: "John befriended Emma", instead of "John asks to be friend of Emma" (or something similar), which would make more sense.
Also, under Polyglot-Emails there is a 'Friend request' email, same as under Polyglot-Keys _bx_persons_email_friend_request_body, which reads <p><a href="{SenderUrl}">{SenderDisplayName}</a> wants to be friends with you. <a href="{FriendsLink}">Respond</a>.</p>. How can I use this message instead of the one above?

The easiest way - you may copy the content from this lang key into the selected email template.

Thanks Leonid. The text in the email is correct; what I would like to do is to use the 'Friend request' email as is, instead of the "Name befriended Name" message.

I guess I found it: I will replace the text on the key '_sys_profile_friendship_added' with the text from the email.
