SMTP Mailer: Mail Send Failed

Hello! 

I need a little (or a lot) of help with my new site. I switched over from my Dolphin site venture to UNA and so far I love it. Of course, there is the learning curve but as of now, the only problem I have is with the SMTP Mailer. I have decided to use Google's G Suite as my external mail server, but upon testing the SMTP Mailer I get a notice that "Mail Send Failed." I attempted to post/attach a screen shot of my settings but my "standard membership doesn't allow" me to post link. 

To be fair, it could be my Google settings, so I am going to reach out to their support staff and have them check my settings on their end. 

Is there anything I am doing wrong, settings that should be changed or other owners that have encountered the same "send failure" and know the fix for it? Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

    • I have tried Google G suite in the past and it is quite a few settings that need to be done in order to make SMTP to work using G Suite. I can't remember by hart what have to be done but one is for sure that you have to setup correct DNS records...., here is the link where you can find some useful tips:

          Join the club Ronald this SMTP mod is a piece of shit. I've tried everything to get it to work I've tried 3 different SMTP providers and my own on my server and alls I get for the last 150 tries is Mail send failed Mail send failed   Mail send failed  Mail send failed  Mail send failed    And what really is starting to get me is how most of the time you can't get a straight answer on here. I had it working on one site so I thought I would just use the same credentials on this other site But guess what it stopped working on there now to.......... 

          • Hello everybody, has anyone found a solution by now? I have the same problem when connecting SMTP Mailer and mailjet. DNS, SPF and DKIM are correct and authenticated... but everytime i try i get "Mail send fail". I would appreciate some help.

              Usually, the mail provider has a log where you may see the info about possible errors. Do you have the possibility to provide what do you have there?
