Any way to enable pretty permalinks for the posts extension?

A primary part of my social site is allowing users to contribute news using the posts extension. Is there anyway to change the links so they're like /post-title instead of /page/view-post?id=2.

    • Need it too. With cyrillic transliteration.

        There exists some mods to create the nice permalinks, but I have doubts if they provided the Cyrillic transliterations.
