    • Hi Vivilon. Hi all.

Another idea... Rather than try to match what is under the 'balls' in the password field(S). Just show the actual password as it is entered in the password field. Then there would be nothing needed to match.

Simple and effective. No extra field necessary.         OP

      • We try to simplify it is much as we can, so we think that it add unnecessary complexity. Even if password was typed incorrectly user can use forgot password feature to reset it.

        • Not sure that asking for a password is easier than having certainty at the start. In the idea of what otherperson suggests, maybe then just add a checkbox "show password"?

          • Yes, Alex. Simple and clean is good. Your dedication to this ideal is apparent and makes this a great platform. Thanks.

Just make it 'show password' by default. There are no foreign spies or ID thieves looking over our shoulders 99.9999% of the time. Even with balls, they could still see which keys you were typing.

This whole 'password balls' thingy is colossal waste of time which has produced countless wasted hours for NOTHING.

People who know but accidentally mis-type their password - because they cannot see it - are then sent to "password reset". Usually required to change their password again and make things further confused. Or they are assigned one which cannot be remembered.  :)

Biggest gimmick on the whole internet. Some developer with a large pocket protector years ago said: "We can do this - so we shall do it." And every one else followed without question. Until me...

For every time a security breach has been saved by these cute little balls, ten million others have had to do a time-wasting password reset or call customer service because they were "locked out" of their account after 3 attempts.

Hey, don't accuse me of not having any opinions... Haha.    OP

            • Actually there is already "confirm password" field, you can try to activate it via Developer app. But there are several "confirm password" fields, make sure to activate field "password_confirm" name, you can see the field name during field editing.

              • Thanx alot, Alex, it works :))

NB for those who can't find

                      1. Look in Developer/Forms/System - than Choose_field/Account/Create_account

                      2. It have to do in Developer, because in Forms app there is no option to enable this field.
