    • May you please describe all your steps and info which you were getting after each stage? Did you meet any error messages?

      • Hi Leonids, i have a particular problem, it does not work under FF in linux, whether here or on my site, I have no request for acceptance of notifications. On the other hand, on opera, no problem. Know more about it?

        • No, I don't get any error message.

          In configuration of web push-

          1.Choose Integration - Typical site

          2.Site setup -

          Site name - publicapp

          SIte url - publicapp.in ( I was entered with https )

          Site logo - {I was uploaded my logo}

3.Permission prompt setup - Slide prompt

Everything good. For permission prompting slide but I have not get yet any push notification. I got many notification mails.

          • I have see this message in onesignal for every push notification subscribers.

            Is it the cause?

            Message - "Service Worker 404"

            • I've checked from chrome://serviceworker-internals/ this in my chrome browse. I've seen una.io service worker but not found publicapp.in service worker

              • I have still this bug. I need help.

                • I have still this bug. I need help.

                  • If I see, are you in linux too? Be careful, you are putting your key on a public place, not a good idea ...

                    • Are you talking about my server or my browser Operating System? By the way, I've browsed on android phone with opera, mozilla and chrome browser and in linux with mozilla and chrome browser.

And I'm using linux server for my website too.

                      • Hi Amitesh!

Please provide me your operator access via messenger.

                        • This issue is not solved yet.

                          • The problem was that in OneSignal > Settings > All Browsers (Except Safari)

Typical Site was chosen, after switching to Custom Code it started to work:

                            • We don't want to have a third party like OneSignal saving our conversation. I have mentioned this before and if a user finds out about this, shit will hit the fan. I removed my account from One Signal and I'm waiting for UNA to come up with a solution. If not I will have to put my site on the shelf. I will not HAVE MY USERS PRIVACY VIOLATED.

                              • Yes, yes, and again yes, but which alternative to On signal? What do you propose?

                                • No, Will Monte don't want any alternative. He want push notifications directly from UNA without onesignal.

                                  • You will never have that in any case I do not believe it. I allow myself to quote Andrew on this subject :

"Indeed, OneSignal saves notifications. Not the entire message, but whatever goes into a notification. Indeed, it may be a problem for some sites. That's how they remain free.

Alternatives would be Amazon SNS, Google's Firebase, PushCrew or AimTell. Some are better in terms of privacy protection (like PushCrew), but you'd be expected to pay according to the number of subscribers (about $50/10,000 subscribers).

It is very unlikely that we'd be building our own push notifications infrastructure anytime soon. It's a complex backend, which may take up all of our time if we get into it. We may look into building on top of Amazon SNS though. The cost is only $0.50 per million notifications and there's more control in terms of how you handle the data. Would you see Amazon SNS as a good alternative?"

So I come back with my question, what alternative? Amazon? Personally I think it's green cabbage and green sprouts.
It would require an open source solution otherwise I am afraid that we are stuck on this subject ...

                                    • Correct, no 3rd parties. Saving just one sentence from a conversation/message is all that is needed he'll to break loose.

                                      • I know it will take a lot of time but we should know that we are creating social network and in social network user privacy is most important thing.

                                        • I know, I am very attached to these values as well, and whenever there is an alternative, I will always be there to support it, like for example Open Map.
In this case we can ask for its integration, what we have done and what we are going to get, super great mega.
But in this case, what can we suggest? I understand that Una can not do everything, besides it is better that it focuses on its main function, as it is better that Onsignal does not take care of creating cms.
I also think we need to relativize things a little.
                                          1. ALL your users have a Smartphone, which runs on either Android or IOS. or windows. Ubuntu tried the experiment but eventually gave up.
So everything they do and what they say leaks in all ways by that first before even talking about Una.
                                          2. Always before talking about Una, their data goes through the air, and there you know as well as me that there are also leaks.
                                          3. PC, windows, chrome, cables, you know it's the same thing. Gmail ???
Is not it true? so I think we can explain this very well, and say that we do WE, the maximum not to make matters worse, but as far as possible by explaining that we can not always look to the free, but when possible we do it.
I believe that to be completely anonymous, you have to cut everything.
I think that today a hacker is trying to connect everywhere, tomorrow it will be the opposite, the feat will be not connected anywhere.
On this is not a reason to sit back and do not try to fight against it, I repeat, 100% agree, but just relativize a little things.
Nothing says that tomorrow an open solution will not come during the day ...
Has anyone analyzed the CGU of On signal?

                                          • I agree with Baloo - the monster is too big to tople at the moment, but we sure should keep building up strength to defeat it eventually.

Yes, ideally we’d love to provide on-server tooling for push notifications, without middle-man. Just like we are doing now for email. Push will come around too. Step by step.
