Locations MAP
AQB Soft is it possible to change icons on your Locations MAP?
Also, is it possible to show events on the map?

To change icons to some kind of custom ones it is necessary either to replace them directly in the respective modules or customize the Locations Map module itself. In any way this requires a direct FTP access to the server and thus is possible only if you aren't on managed UNA cloud hosting.
The module shows events out of the box. Ensure that events are enabled in the module's settings.

I have had this app for several months and layed it aside for a later date. Couldn’t seem to get things right to make it work. I’m sure it’s great but I just haven’t had the time to figure it out.

You are right, events are there.
I am using managed UNA service. How can I change icons?

On a managed UNA service you can't customize the modules. So you're stuck with respective module's icons (event icon for events, group icon for a group, etc.) or to an universal location icon marker for everything. There is no way of assigning your own icons in the module now.
