ideas on backup and maintenance modes
Dear fellow UNA dreamers,
Our site is live now and we made it public. Member count is increasing every hour. At this point in time,I will appreciate your suggestions on data backup. Also, when new features and modules are added or when updating to a new UNA version, how can we manage & display maintenance mode?

Hey UMIT OZAYDIN - congratulations mate! If you build it, they shall come! Yes the maintenance mode module is cheap & good. We have a backup system built into UNA Cloud. You can download a copy of your site at anytime via your UNA.io Dashboard.

Hey Mark, what happens if I do not download copies - do you have a weekly / montly backup plan?

There is also a toolbox app, looks more comprehensive. AQB Soft what do you recommend

Hello. Toolbox is needed to backup some structure related tables from UNA database. It allows to backup everything related to Pages, Menus, Forms etc. The app is useful while you're building your site. Data from these tables can be lost if you, for example, Disable/Enable some module.
If you need a full backup of UNA database the app won't help you. -

Definitely, what is the best backup solution for UNA on a self hosted install? How to make a full backup (the site + the database)?

Hello OneEagle !
The modern hosting provides automatic files backup by the schedule. So you need to take care of the database backup. Just find the way to regularly launch the following MySQL command:
mysqldump --defaults-extra-file=/path/.sqlpwd [database] > "$(date '+%F').sql"
.sqlpwd will have the content like
[mysqldump]
user=usernamepassword=password
